At Your Fairy Godmother, sewing is only part of what we do.
This is a place built around people—the clothes they live in, the celebrations they're planning, the things they want to create, and sometimes the projects they aren't quite sure can be saved.
We alter. We fit. We sew. We teach. We create.
But more than anything, we help people see what's possible.
Sometimes that means transforming a garment that doesn't quite fit. Sometimes it's helping someone feel wonderful in what they'll wear on an important day. Sometimes it's choosing the perfect fabric, learning a new skill, or finding a solution to a sewing problem that seemed impossible.
And sometimes it really does feel like a little bit of magic.

Every Fairy Godmother needs a good pair of scissors.
Maria has those.
But what really makes her Your Fairy Godmother is something harder to put in a sewing basket: the ability to look at what is and imagine what it could become.
That combination of craftsmanship, creativity, problem-solving, and genuine care for people is at the heart of the shop.
Maria doesn't simply see a dress that's too long, a jacket that doesn't fit, or a pile of fabric waiting to become something.
She sees possibilities.
And she understands that sometimes the garment sitting on her worktable isn't just a garment. It may be the dress someone will wear when they walk down the aisle. A teenager's first formal suit. A treasured piece that carries memories. A project someone has dreamed about making but hasn't yet had the confidence to begin.

And if you're taking a class, we want you to feel comfortable saying:
